I Elizabeth Willmott widow of Nailsea in the County of Somerset do make this my last will and testament in manner & form following I give devise and bequeath seven gass shares in the Bristol Coal Gass and the half of my interest in the Coal Mines situate at Nailsea and my share of the rest of land held during the life of Mary Wedmore of Nailsea to my brother Edwd Greenfield and my friend Bishop Gregory for the purposes hereinafter mentioned that is to say as to four shares and the said one half of my interest in the Coal and rent of lifehold land aforesaid In trust for my niece Rachel Greenfield Southey for her exclusive uses apart from her husband and not to be subject to his debts or control And as to the three remaining Gass Shares In trust for her infant son Edwd Southey the interest to accumulate till he is twenty one years when he has attained twenty one years to have the said shares with all the interest that may accumulate therefrom I leave it to the power of the said Edwd Greenfield and Bishop Gregory to use the interest if it should be required for the use of the said Edwd Southey If at any time it should appear to advantage to sell the said 3 Gass Shares the said trustees with the consent of Rachel G Southey shall be at liberty so to do If the said Edwd Southey should die before he has attained twenty one years the said three gass shares with all the interest that may accumulate shall be for the use of Rachel G Southey in manner aforesaid I give to Mary Hayman spinster of the Parish of Nailsea the sum of fifty pounds I give to the aforesaid Edwd Greenfield my household furniture beds and bedding plate and glass and one hundred pounds left me in my father’s will in his possession also 3 Gass Shares and one half of my interest in the coal after paying my debts & funeral expences all the money that remains I give to the said Edwd Greenfield I appoint the said Edwd Greenfield and Bishop Gregory Executors of this my Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this fifteenth of the 3 month called March one thousand eight hundred and forty
